How to setup a LAY-Z-SPA.
Bestway LAY-Z-SPA Installation Easy Step by Step Tutorial.
A nice simple guide to the LAY-Z-SPA Setup. Setting up your LAY-Z-SPA hot tub is fairly easy but the instructions aren’t great so follow this guide.
This is how to setup a LAY-Z-SPA Bahamas edition but should be the same for other Bestway models as well.
Make sure it is on a sturdy surface like a patio or your garden, not advisable on Decking as full it can way over a Ton, and with people in even more!
This Tutorial is 18 minutes long but it is a comprehensive guide.

Lifesaver! 🎉 Note that my model of the spa (Miami) needed attachments from a bag to be screwed into the air inflation input hole, before the air hose could be attached.

Love the video! Thank you! I was wondering about the very bottom of the spa (inside, where you sit). It looks like it needs to be filled with air??? Did I not inflate the spa itself, enough? Is there a separate intake? Am I an idiot by making this more difficult than it actually is? Also mine didnt come with the ChemConnect….so thank you for explaining what that nozzle was even for. Why havent any other chemicals been added? or the water tested before getting in? I see you got the 1 tablet in while filling and then removed? but is that sufficent?

I got confused with 3 buttons. LayZ massgae activation, heat activation and water filter activation.
When using chemconnect, do i need to keep any button on so chlorine can dissolve into water? Do i have to keep filter activation on all time except night to avoid noise?

I have the older style lay z spa cancun with the older style connection box (oval shaped). Can these spa’s be safely stored dry etc unused and be fine to use again??

Top tip! I've been using my tub for a few years and know roughly how much PH minus and chlorine I need to start it off. Wanting to save time, I mixed the powders together in a small bucket and then added hot water to dissolve them quickly.
This was NOT a good idea!
The mixture reacted violently and instantly produced a large amount of yellow/ green gas… Pure chlorine gas.
Inhaling this gas can and often is fatel.
After the embarrassment of having to evacuate the house pretty smartish and facing the wrath of your other half, you are going to wish it was.
So yeah, don't do that. Read the instructions. There's a reason it clearly states to wait (x hours?) before adding other chemicals.
Thanks Lurgs, fantastic video – really informative (and entertaining!). One question – I've seen others say you need to shock the hot hub on first use and test ph levels etc, but you don't do that – just using the multi-functional tablets. Just wondered why the differing approaches? Cheers

Hey! What if I don’t have a Chem connect? Can I still use the lay z spa with a floating disepenser and do I keep the black plug on where the chem connect was supposed to be or take the black cap off and expose the grey? Thank you
