  2. This video and advice is spot on in every respect! Nice.

  3. It’s for quad or hamstring ??

  4. Can’t stand the feel of doing squats in a smith. I do front squats because it feels better. Watching this hoping to get a better grasp.

  5. God, Jared’s expression when Dr.Mike said “Erect” is priceless. 😂

  6. Watching this because I have extra super long chicken pencil legs and cannot normal squat if my life depended on it

  7. I did this while yelling in the gym and I indeed have no friends.

  8. The only other thing that might improve the squat is not to lock the knees at the top. By locking the knees, tension is taken off the quads. However, if you come up almost but not quite to the locked position, tension stays on the quads. This works for me, but I wonder if anyone else does it this way.

  9. what in the serious heavens is that deaaad haircut

  10. The award to the most cringy haircut goes to…

  11. Preciate the vid, guys. Btw, what is that haircut?

  12. If you barbell squat is limited by shoulder mobility . Whats the best course of action.
Now shoulder stability exercise are being performed as part of a daily routine but the needle is not moving.
And barbell squats are painful on the shoulders and wrists and seems no thing is being felt where the exercise is meant to be working.
Should squats just be avoided ?

  13. How many times should I squat a week?

  14. Is the Smith slanted or straight?

  15. As always, great video and explanation. Been a trainer for a long time and I come here to learn more about training. Btw, Gerard is quite a handsome fella… sorry, just saying, no weirdness intended. But I had to get that off my chest xoD

  16. 3:30 "I'm just generally built better…" with absolutely no awareness of what he just said. lmao

  17. This video was awesome . Great facts and logic but the presentation was top notch.

  18. Always heard in gym circles that smith machines are for weak people and don't help muscle growth…

  19. Thought I didn't put enough effort into it until I had to go down two flights of stairs 💀 thanks for the tips.

  20. Damm this guy got very specific about the perfect squat. Good video man I have not seen anyone yet go into these specifics

  21. As always Dr Mike has helped me when I feel like I can’t get shit right you da man!

  22. What squat shoes does Jared have?

  23. Just now I realised the channel is having less than 1million subscribers.. what is wrong with people… this channel should be trending…excellent demos….

  24. i like that guy hairstyle lmao

  25. May you please do bar placement ? I messed up today and damn near caused myself to pass out 😩🤦🏽‍♀️

  26. Now that is one ridiculous looking haircut.

  27. So.. I’ve been watching all these videos on how to do squats correctly etc. most of them say to step your feet out 3-6 inches. My smith machine though does not have that curl feature where you rotate to unlock it and can rotate in to lock it. How can I do these exercises with the machine I have?

  28. It's still not clear why standard squat technique isn't advisable. Say you have the mobility to keep heels down with bar over midfoot. What's wrong with that? It's hip dominant rather than quad dominant. A free barbell squat is meant to have a vertical bar path anyway. I understand it might affect joint loading, but wonder how it does this in an unsafe way.

  29. Great tips! Thanks for sharing.

  30. Thank you! I was moving my foot slightly to the front but really wasn't sure if this was accurate. Feels so weird not having free weights.

  31. I write for a living and that man's calves are bigger than my entire vocabulary.

  32. Great video and tips!!! 💪🏼💗👍

  33. The new Penn and Teller. I love it. Thank you guys.

  34. 3:30 wow, dude….seems a bit arrogant
