Before I had the dishwashersvi used to make sure I didn't have any sinks and I kicked over the garage can and it worked for cleaning up all the plates.
I don't know if they've changed the game. You may want to test it before you buy a bunch of bathroom sinks. As of October 2023, my Sims will not use a bathroom sink to wash the dishes and will walk all the way to the trash can. But he will use a kitchen sink.

Just some helpful hints. I didn't have 18,000 to do this. I built the room for 890 and then filled it with free stuff in my inventory. So I only paid 890 total for the workhouse. I also only put in 4 coffee pots. You can instantly finish this action for free so sharing 4 pots wasn't a big deal. I also discovered that you need absolutely no sinks. I only add 1 sink when they need to clean up, then I take it away again. It's another free instant finish, so they can share the sink. This makes your room build even cheaper. Unfortunately, I discovered this after I built mine to specs. First, kick over the trash can and leave it like that. With no sinks and again a free instant finish, the dishes just disappear when they clean them up.
I have a kitchen with 4 stoves and have them all cooking at the same time to earn point. It worked the 1st time I did it and haven't been able to do this again. Can never get the last 2 things that I need anymore.
Tip: if ur doing cooking hobby without a door and they put it outside and your to lazy
just tap the thing weāre u add furniture and move the plate insideš®
Iāve set up a lot the same kitchen design as youāve shown but when my sims pick up the plate they still take it to the trash when Iāve placed sinks in front of the cookers, itās 2 squares in front of the cooker like youāve shown in the video, I donāt understand why mine still takes it to the trash š¤

Only one sim at a time can cook, why is that?
No Door + No Sink = no wasted time ..

I'm a newbie… so I appreciate all your tips. One thing I do for the work farm… why spend the $ for walls/floors? I just add all the appliances… works great! Ha

What are social points for?
This video is quite old but I'm going to comment this anyway. Instead of getting loads of sinks just get a sim to kick the bin over. the sims have no where to clean the dishes so they just pick them up and they disappear
