  1. My pull chain catches on the blades

  2. No shade but first of all, I believe this is a bad idea in many ways.
#1 He's not installing the exhaust fan at the source.
#2 The house roof is slanted. Heat rises and what ever is in that heat will rise. The grease and smoke is going to stick on the bottom of the roof of the house.
#3 Because of the location of the fan, Over the months and years, you will see a dark film all around the area where the fan is because the exhaust will suck everything to that area. what ever the exhaust fan sucks out the house and kitchen will be in your kitchen on the walls near the exhaust fan.
I say install a kitchen exhaust fan closest to the source for a clean fresh smelling home.

  3. The fact that they didn’t show it clearing all the smoke out of the area is a bit suspicious 🤨

  4. It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxGjG43–gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two…

  5. In australia 🇦🇺
We don’t have microwaves above the oven
That is where you put a large exhaust fans that go into the roof ceiling
Interesting where he put the exhaust fan
I would’ve thought he would’ve installed it above the oven in the ceiling not away from it

  6. By the time the smoke get to that vent on the other side of the stove…. Shell be dead by breathing all that smoke. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

  7. i truly dont understand everyones hatred for the pull chain, i think its quite a nice quaint detail

  8. That was a lot of smoke at the end there, reminds me of people using a vape

  9. But how did u know there was no cables or anything behind that wood?

  10. Try cleaning smoked ceiling

  11. I would never let this man touch my house… what an awful job, I bet it took days to get the smell of that freaking smoke bomb out of here house that poor women 😂😂

  12. this is a bad video, poorly done. don't follow this one.

  13. How come he's not talking about how gas stoves are terrible for indoor air quality and basically her health! And not having ventilation for that stove is really bad!

  14. that's the most stup…..thing I ever seem ..once the smoke hits the exaust all his cabinets are going to be with grease all over the it, also the walls , doors ,, the exaust is supposed to be nomatther what on top of the stove so all the smoke will not spread all over the kitchen…it is not meant all the way to the other side…we are in the 2023 who use that thing from grandma…lol…come on

  15. Would probably do a better job when you have a lot of steam from hand washing dishes in the sink… should have run ducting the way you said would have been “a lot of work”.

  16. I recently married a Filipino woman. She's been used to cooking outside, never inside. She often fries dried fish in our kitchen that'll stink to high heaven. There are also other times where the kitchen fills with smoke. I don't know what she's doing. But this is a great solution for one of many oddities that come with a filipina.

  17. Great video, and I learned a new method of finding a stud, thank you.

  18. Put the fan on the opposite side of the room as the problem? Seems really inefficient imo.

  19. This is awful. Really awful. That lady's ceiling and walls are going to be covered in grease in no time.

Please do not install an exhaust fan like this

  20. TO BE HONEST THIS IS THE FIRST AMERICAN GUY THAT SHOW ME THAT NOT ALL AMERICANS ARE DUMN HE REALLY THINKS IN SAVING MONEY AND NOT WASTING MATERIALS AND DOES THE WORK VERY GOOD

  21. 😃 (He lights the smoke Bomb)… 😮 okay that was a bad idea that’s enough smoke

  22. Where can I get that fan? Can't find one like that anywhere.

  23. Anyone know where I can get this or very similar fan with the airtite exterior cover?

  24. They may as well have just installed a ceiling exhaust fan like would be found in a bathroom, could have went through the roof or soffit and installed a switch in the wall, considering he had easy access to the area in the attic as seen here.

  25. What kind of contractor do I hire to get one of these installed in my home.

  26. Works amazingly Fastly.Cool . I love all the features and the double expansion. For once a fan is almost as tall as my window. Updated but not overly fancy.

  27. If only all my customers were as nice as Joanne…

  28. why make the smoke go throughout the whole house before it leaves? im just a drywaller but this seems silly.

  29. That smoke sure did touch a lot of wall and ceiling on it's way out 😆… no thanks.

  30. Congrats on your new hole in the wall that someone will fix in the future…

  31. We are going to skip doing it right (eeeeehh its too hard). Place it where the whole house still stinks. Finally, we are going to set fireworks off in your house and you will thank us. All these idiots on here "good Job".

  32. How much Labor Charges should be ?

  33. Would have made a lot more sense just have put an exhaust hood above the cooker and not a microwave 🤦🏽‍♂️

  34. That chain hanging down is straight awful man

  35. What if the external wall was brick?

  36. all that tools and can't even trace a perfect circle on the wall..
