Mere do do laptop dead pade hain har saal repairing centre bhejna padta hai …dono laptop bich me sahi se on hua tha …fir wapas dead. what might be causing the problem? Power cord is original ,batteries not working. damn frustrated.

For last 2 years, my Dell inspiron 5537 was behaving unusual way. When I turn on my laptop, after screen turns on in 2-3 seconds, laptop shuts abruptly. Then I again turn it on it starts nicely. Now last week it didn't even start. I did everything like removing battery, static charge release, Cleaning the motherboard dust gently. Then I noticed when charger is turned on, it makes little noise on motherboard where the charges wire connects to motherboard. Sometimes a small component turns out to be too hot. What could be the problem. Thank you.

Hi. I have a LA-9981P motherboard. It works on battery, but it doesn't work on a charger only. The charging light is on, but it's not charging. Is it possible that because the PU701 (BQ24717) is dead that the laptop won't power on using only the charger? On PU701 pin 15 is also grounded (inside the ic, not on motherboard). The traces on pins 12 and 13 are missing (liquid damage)

I'm having some problems with my laptop. Yesterday I was doing some data backup and went to another room for a while. When I came back the laptop was off. I thought that maybe I plugged charger wrong and the battery is dead, but surprise. It wasn't a battery… firstly nothing worked. clicking a power button did nothing with charger + battery, only battery or only charger. Then after doing some research I tried to release static charge. So I've pressed power button for few minutes with battery off and I hoped it worked. So I put my battery and charger back, pressed power button and… the power button light turn on for a second and went off. the led on front was also blue. So I've pressed again and again with same result. And after forth press all the lights went down and don't want to come back unless I do the trick with "releasing the static charge".
What may cause this add behaviour?
