Hoa is a scam
How many times are you gonna repeat that they used sand bags and have clogged drains. Lord this video could have been two minutes long
Why do you use that type of PVC? Over other types
you are the man , thank you
All HOA suck
Good work Chucky……
Where can a person get that exact catch basin ?
It might be a swell swale but swell is not a swale. That edging is dangerously deep, especially with older people around. It is an additional expense but a gravel-covered drain pipe would be safer.
Good job Chuck 😂
I'm not familiar with the team behind this video, but it's truly outstanding. Having collaborated with around 500 contractors in both geotechnical engineering and home construction, I can say these folks exemplify what it means to be a reputable contractor. I would absolutely consider hiring them for work on my own home. 🙂
Chuck, you saved us!! Big fan watching all your videos and what I learned from you the most is French drains are great but if you have surface water, YOU NEED CATCH BASINS…. The French drain worked great but the water velocity just ran right over it causing a river thru our yard. I started adding catch basins (from your experience) and it has improved soooo much. I will add them as we learn from more results as the rain continues. Thanks for the advise, definity helped.
That was a very good estimate.
My HOA put in new fencing and the company they hired left the old posts in and put in additional posts, on top of that two unit owners raised their patios and put them graded towards the rest of us. When it rains the water comes right up to our door. We cant get the HOA to do anything because the owners that are causing the problem sit on the boarc.
Awesome, very informative!
I’m challenged with little to no grade from front to back here in Florida. I’m trying to move my down spouts away from the foundation.
Any suggestions?
took too long!
Concrete suppose to be sloped away from the home
I would have loved to see a post install video during rain storm! Great video!
So I'm just a homeowner looking at YT videos for ideas on how to replace my corrugated gutter drain pipe. At 6:15 you explain how you set the height of the catch basin to be able to collect the water running off the concrete patio. How does this solve the problem? It doesn't keep water off the patio. As you showed at the beginning of the video, water is coming from the lawn and flooding the patio. The yard must be higher than the patio for the water to run from the yard to the patio. Seems like you've got to relevel the yard to get the water drained to the storm drain. Or, maybe install French drains in the yards that flow to the storm drain? I don't know.
So the benefits of HOAs are…?
