Awesome! I fixed my joystick with the two steps
Fixed mine by removing the "Grey plastic part". Easy remove it by prying it left and right carefully. With a twizer afterwards just remove it…
I had an xbox one controller for 6 years and never had a problem and then I get a series X controller for 2 months and get stick drift. This has to be on purpose

Love xbox and am an xbox player , but ive replaced like 6 controller over 7 years , ps4 i never had to replace my first ever controller over multiple years but xbox ive got to replace the modern series x controller after cleaning it every week just after 8 months , my brothers still using his grubby ps4 controller he has had for like 10 years
Method 2 worked for me instantly, blew with my mouth. I've had my right stick failing when trying to move the camera left and right for sooooo long, and the solution was this simple. I feel kinda dumb for not thinking of it myself before lol. Thank you for the tips anyways!
Thank you so much, I was able to fix my 2 weeks old xbox controller using method 6. I really didn’t wanna have to go for method 6 which looked scary even for an avid hardware guy like me but the other 5 didn’t do the trick. Decided to try it anyway because I couldn’t bother waiting for the replacement and it worked like a charm !

Brand new series x. Controller barely used and it drifts so bad that navigating menus and playing games is damn near impossible!!! That is criminal!

When I plug it in it makes a rumble but when I hold the xbox logo button it flashes like its trying to connect even if there's no batteries. My controller gets power from my pc but doesn't get inputs.
