I wanted to mention that my first Nintendo 3DS actually ended up developing some pretty severe leftword motipn drift later in it's lifetime.
Probably not related to this, but it has happened.

Why do you think some people get drift and others don’t? I have never had drift and have played for 4 years. And yet there are people that say they get it after a year or even months.
Sadly for me it just worked for a short period of time… :/ i had to invest in a pair of gulikit joysticks.

I've opened a joycon once and I must have damaged something because it would only work wireless and wouldn't work in handheld. (I didn't use a tutorial probably why it broke but my L button was only activating at certain angles) I did get another but I can't comfortably play my switch without the fear of getting drift. I am thinking about doing this just to give myself peace of mind.
It's crazy to think joycon drift would be like 1 in 100 if there was an L3 and R3 button on the joycon instead of being activated by pressing the stick
This didn't work for me, I have tons of experience working with electronics, I tried with different cardboards and paper and at the end it didn't make a difference so I just left it without any of that. help I'm getting desperate
