Over time, the screws inside the knob can become loose just from day-to-day use. Mine did, to the point that the internals of the knob disintegrated. But thanks to 6:07, plus a bit of detective work, I was able to re-assemble the knob myself!

the tip on how to switch the crescent part inside the handset to the other side by pulling out and then turning it was a lifesaver. no instructions found from kwikset. I've installed plenty of doorknobs but this was my first handle set.

my problem is getting the lever knob from the inside off. there are no screws and i see a little hole on the handle itself, but when I put a very small screwdriver into it it does not come off. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? thanks.
