In this tutorial, I will share how to easily bypass HDCP for PS3 using PS2 to HDMI.

  1. Okay so if you're using an adapter like that, it's using the Component output of the PS3 which is analogue. There is no HDCP on analogue signals so you're not bypassing it, you're going around it by not using the HDMI output of the PS3. A lot of those cheap Component to HDMI adapters have poor picture quality so be aware.

  2. damn I still got a black screen. any advice? should I get ps2 to hdmi adapter?

  3. what is the name of the adapter

  4. I might try this option. I have a EVGA XR1 Pro Capture card and a View HD HDMI splitter. I thought the splitter would work for the PS3, but it did not strip HDCP.

Question, with the setup you have now, will the video also display on OBS? Unfortunately EVGA does not have its own software like Elgato, so hopefully video will display for OBS.
