Well, it changes the look of the neckline. More like a patch. Also adds weight to the bodice causing it to pucker down in the middle. Needs to be a smooth fit. If the neckline isn’t too oversized, perhaps an inch, you can do a shirring stitch, and then with bias tape or facing smooth it in against the neckline. Weights and drapes of fabrics can be tricky.
Конечно таким способом очень легко исправить платье из такой же ткани, тем более вариантов очень много. А как быть, если купили платье, а там вырез большой, а у меня нет такой ткани как на платье. Вот где надо показывать как исправить ситуацию.

That’s a brilliant idea. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us this procedure. I have needed to do something like this in the past and now I know how. Please could I ask for videos without the music. I have a neurological condition which makes it painful to listen to frantic music, especially guitar music for some reason. It makes me dizzy and nauseous and it’s very painful. Someone always writes in and says, sarcastically, “turn the sound down, dummy”, and of course this is what I have always had to do. But living alone and in silence is hard. There are wonderful teaching videos where you just hear sounds of cooking/sewing/crafting etc. and no music. They are great to help you concentrate on learning. So I hope I’m not offending all you lovely people out there who like music, but if it’s added to everything, it’s not a choice for a small minority. Many thanks for your patience to anyone who reads this and disagrees. X
