3 interceptions only 1 was his fault. 1st one Laporta ran into a defender and the timing was off. 2nd one was a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage . It counts in his stats but two of those are just football things that happen sometimes . The 3 fumbles are a different story those are from not being aware enough [the one that was slapped out on the pocket] and not tucking it firmly when he did decide to run. Goff is our guy and more importantly , The GM and coach Campbell 's guy. He will get a contract offer and deservedly so. He will be fine. Our defense hasn't exactly been getting turnovers and stopping opponents offenses lately. Detroit is in a little funk right now but rest assured that coaching staff and GM will get it corrected I believe .
Can you make him run faster too, please. He ran a respectable 4.8 second 40 yard dash at the combine and now runs a 7.8. He will never be allusive but watch Mahomes continue to work on his functional speed and flexibility all year long. Goff is not improving physically year to year and this is his every day all day profession.

Everybody who's a Lions fan needs to relax. The problem isn't Goff! What about his great comeback against the Bears? Why didn't Campbell run the rock against the Pack? I mean, we had a beat up O-line on turkey day. Pass blocking is harder then run blocking. We had a rookie LG on the field against an elite D-line and it showed in the pass game.
I'm glad he loves it cause as a lifelong Lions fan I sure as hell don't.

Man lions fans are so brutal. We are 8-3 right now. Yes the last two games were weak but Goff has been dynamite until then. Hooker is nowhere near
Ready to lead anything maybe in like 2-3 yrs. We need to adjust during games where we are getting pressured…quick throws and screens etc.
Why is chris simms calling Jared Goff super skinny? Simms only weighed 5 more pounds in his playing days and they’re the same height.
Yeah everyone wants to blame the Oline …the Offensive line is 1 of the best in the NFL…maybe it's not their fault….its a Goff thing. He should be able to work some slant passes in there or something. He didn't work on a Mcvay team that went to 2 superbowls either. Hendon Hooker is waiting in the wing and I can't wait to see what he can do .
They act as if the Lions are incapable of making adjustments lol. The "blueprints" go both ways – Detroit can just as easily look at how teams take advantage of the blitz and exploit that.

As a lifelong Lions fan, I have seen some crappy quarterback play until we had Stafford. Loved that guy and his toughness. I like Goff as well but you outlined his shortcomings well. He is fun to watch when his line is intact and he has all his weapons. Good decisions and fits balls into tight windows. Excellent leader and team guy. However, I can think of maybe one time where he has carried the team on his back under dire circumstances to a win. That is not a $45 million quarterback. He is very mentally tough, so I expect him to rebound against the Saints and build momentum through the home stretch. The fact that Hooker's clock got started says that the Lions want to see what he has before extending Goff. Hooker has more potential but is raw. I actually like both of these guys. I would love to see Goff win a ring so he could stick it to McVay. I hate that little twerp. The Lions have been in far worse shape at quarterback. We should be enjoying the ride and watching our team grow in stature. One Pride, baby! Go Lions!

Goff will turn back into a pumpkin. Give it time. Even best case scenario, he's not going to win the Lions a super bowl. His ceiling is a first round exit imo.

The hilarity that the Lions are 8-3 with the 2nd best record and they're saying Jared Goff will lose his job.
Not a mention about how we were without a pro Bowl left guard and our starting right guard huh? Or that our pro Bowl center got hurt halfway through the game. You guys are clowns.
Every HOF QB has been done this but they overcame it…let's see if Goff overcomes this…I personal think he will.

Lion’s are -5 turnovers for the season and are 8-3. Quite frankly, that’s amazing. They clean that up, they win. Heck, if they start getting turnovers they will be nearly unstoppable. Only 2 teams worry me – Cowboys and 49ers. Eagles are a QB injury waiting to happen – and it will happen with how often he runs. Then they are done.
The Lions flourish when supporters become doubters. Detroit can beat anyone. Do they have weaknesses? Absolutely. But grit and relentlessness aren’t it. Every team can be beat. It’s no secret.
San Francisco was being talked about the same way a few weeks ago. They will get over this slump, hopefully 2-1 during the slump.
