"to remove the nylon runner…" Oh you mean that thing you were supposed to use to peel the jacket back so that you don't score the pairs. -.- thank God you guys didn't "teach" anyone how to run a coax cable splitter or make a fitting.
So if I were to install this by itself, as I have no security system, would I still punch down the cable coming from the demarcation panel into the line in/out security IDC and then proceed to insert the shorting plug, or would I just ignore the security IDC and shorting plug?
