  1. They were out just as fast as the old one's right?

  2. I need your help….96 keep zj same problem.

  3. 😮😮have heard about the wobble just never seen.
Laugh part is funny i woulda added holy sh!@.

You may wanna look into the steering gearbox and the shaft.

Plus control arms an bushings what you replaced helps death wobble.

I noticed your video tile for Ram too would it also be for dakotas every year model too.

Ive only heard about the wobble mainly in jeeps and wranglers.

Not in trucks but willing to know more about issues with trucks steering too.

  4. Ok, so death wobble can be caused by many different loose joints. My 96 F350 , is very it going over railroads tracks ! 36000 miles on it. The mechanic could barely move a ball joint with a 4 foot bar ! I told him it warranty and not supposed to move ! Replace it ! At 40k miles the other side went. Same wobble. At 80k both bad again ! I put TRW's on and 488,000 miles still no wobble!

  5. How to fix the death wobble…. Buy a Chevy/GMC

  6. I had a jeep a 97 jeep grand Cherokee and I had death wobble and what I did was I don’t know the right name for it but it’s hooked up to the center link I believe it is it’s like looks like a shock. I be damned if I can remember the name but that’s what I replaced and it showed the problem.

  7. I replaced my whole front end and it ended up being the driver side upper control bushing it was cracked.

  8. What's the head unit there? It looks like a touchscreen

  9. The suspension vibrates and rotation is one degree of freedom; death wobble is the natural frequency it vibrates at and unfortunately has an undesired amplitude.
A steering stabilizer dampens these vibrations in the direction that is needed.
I say be conservative with the build, minimize tire width, size and weight.
I say use near zero offset for better steering accuracy and less tire drag and wobble.
Slow down and take it easy until you get it all worked out.

  10. So basically, replace every single bushing and piece of rubber in the front end.

  11. So I guess nothing is ever always because on my 2003 Wrangler I replaced the steering stabalizer and my wobble went away and never came back. Not even one time. So, maybe you aen't as smart as you thought.

  12. In order to permanently fix these types of problems!!
the only answer is the elimination of American-made vehicles.. .

  13. Glad to see you fixed the issue. My 1999 Dodge ram got the Death wobble and it turned out to be warped Rotors. Odd, I know but after I put new ones on. No more wobble.
Seemed as though the warp in the rotor caused the brake pad to grab for a second causing the steering to pull one way. Then when it released, it would steer the other.
    Great video!

  14. We have a 2011 F350 6.7 we change out the Radius arm axle bushings as well

  15. I appreciate you you made me laugh at this same problem im having with a ram 1500 😎

  16. Thank you for this!, I've only replaced my lower arms when doing a lift but the uppers look original so that's my next project

  17. How did the Ford explorer wheels perform and how do these perform now

  18. When you ordered the controll arms did you use stock controll arms or did you buy some for a 4” lift?

  19. This dude is the first and only person to laugh at death wobble, love it 🤣

  20. There’s nothing holding the front suspension, if you lift that truck the front suspension will go down 😪
Silverado 2003 has upper and lower control arm attached to the frame 💪

  21. new track bar did not fix my 99 either

  22. Does this happen when braking or when driving at high speeds?

My 2004 WJ wobbles when braking, which makes me think that is could be rotors that needs replacement, but this here opened a new can of concerns🤷‍♂️

  23. Caster is off. Need adjustable control arms to dial it in

  24. So basically when you do a lift check all your suspension components bushings evry thing . Mine did the death wobble and had it checked they replaced a few items and it stopped mine just a stock wrangler

  25. why not just replace bushings

  26. If you lower the control arm bracket behind the axle you are less likely to get death wobble.

  27. The way you laugh at the wobble is pure evil haha been getting it in my 3rd gen ram and I haven't laughed once when it happened

  28. have this problem with a jeep wrangler jk only when I take curves at low speed. What could be the problem

  29. Yep, the video helps. You're the first one I've watched to even bring up the control arms. I've been driving strategically for the last year straddling the known spots that set it off. Nothing like severe DW at 60 mph while in cruise control in the middle of the night. I swear one severe DW event simultaneously breaks down all of those old bushings at once. 99 Cherokee with 178k miles. Stock suspension. Thanks for the parts links. I know I need sway bar links too.

  30. CONTROL ARMS????! Gtfo????…I have DW in a 2009 Dodge PowerWagon. Replaced most of my steering components! Never thought control arms would be an issue!!

  31. Since you're not doing any type of rock crawling or nothing. I'd suggest putting in drop brackets for the upper and lower control arms. With the angle that they are at now the bushings will wear out a lot faster cuz there's more force on the bushings. With the drop brackets you're able to drop them down 3"-4" to put them back into a stock ride height, making the bushings last longer and improve your ride quality.

  32. I'm glad i found your video !! EVERYBODY…. even RC are tellin me I CAN'T put that lift on my 2wheel drive 2001 Grand Cherokee. My front end looks EXACTLY like yours !

  33. My ram 3500 does this and feels like the dash is going to blow apart

  34. Dude almost died from death wobble literally was going 90 then it happened and I have never experienced it so it was something new

  35. A lot of people would say Chevy are better

  36. My guess is that 90% of this problem comes from those ridiculous lift kits and monster tires.

  37. great video and thank you for your effort really cool !

  38. That’s not a jeep that’s a car . ✌🏼

  39. This is very informative! Good stuff man!

  40. The issue is 100% caster angle. Bad bushings or ball joints just amplify it, so replacing them does help but the real problem is still there. Next time your shopping cart wheel goes crazy from being overloaded too many times, this is death wobble in action. This is why any lift kit that doesn't have adjustable link arms or some other way to address the caster angle is going to eventually wobble, it just needs the amplifier.

  41. How long till the wabble starts again? I'm not an engineer but will investigate until the problem can be eliminated. Replacing slightly worn bushings will get old quickly. I've driven trucks that were metal to metal (1976F100) that never hit death wabble 2000.

  42. Where did you attach the ratchet strap on the opposite side to where the bushing is held

  43. Thank you for going to the trouble of shooting the video and sharing. I own a '21 Rubicon and have read much on the Wrangler forum about death wobble. It's not unique to the Jeep brand and can tell you in my 18months of ownership, we have had absolutely no issues with our Jeep. Your video is enlightening including comments from Jethro Bodine.
