  1. why not just replace the pipe from the top sharkbite down to the new stops. you left an old section that is potentially as thin as the piece you replaced. also regardless of its a sharkbite, solder joint, or press fitting its a potential leaking point. why add an additional spot? I use sharkbite fittings but never bury them in a wall. I have seen sharkbite fittings fail in a freezing situation where the solder joints and press fitting held.

  2. I love using the shark bite connections. I use them in remodeling my home. I’m a 73 year old woman and shark bite made it easy.

  3. Why not use deburring tool which has gauge to mark correct depth for fitting?
