  1. Doesn't the charger contain volatile toxic substances such as mercury?

Isn't it dangerous to fix it?

  2. Hello my friend, do i need to super glue the case back together? Also when opening with a screwdiver i made a few small holes in the side of the case

  3. Another trick to open plastic enclosures without breaking them (mostly)

    – Make sure that the rods are exactly positioned on the seal (use sticky tape)
    – Don't squeeze too hard; I have occasionally broken an internal PCB

  8. Thank you ! I was able to replace barrel plug and tested for correct polarity!! Question: I forgot to replace the last of the 3 thin metal housings. It is super glued together. Do I reopen it the same as the first time ? Or is there a better way to separate the superglued case?
Is that last piece of metal critical ? It had two metal covers and two white covers – thank you 🙏 😊

  10. Hello, I recently repaired my Yamaha PA300C power adapter for my SX700 keyboard, but I am unsure about the correct wiring configuration. The power adapter has two wires: one is black and the other is black coated with white. Could you please provide me with the correct identification of these wires? Specifically, I would like to know which wire is intended for the ground connection and which wire is meant for the 12V positive connection

  11. Thanks for this. Can you help me with something else, please? We have this mobile power supply device. It's like a charging bank, but a bit bigger, and seemingly a bit more powerful (can even jumpstart your car battery to a degree), and more for car travelling usage (can charge lots more things than just phone). But we lost the AC adapter for it :-(. It has an Output connector for which you can apparently change/switch the voltage (12, 16, 19) and there's a smaller Input connector (only the thinnest of a series of 7 spare jack adapters that came with it fits) that says "12V/1A". How do we order online the best AC Adapter for it? Do we have to look out for wattage? What kinds of voltage and amperage would be compatible or best? Appreciate it.

  21. I couldn't get that aluminium off from the charger, seems like it's connected to something inside …. any information how to get it off ?

  22. I can't imagine the device powered by most power supplies today is still relevant by the time the power supply needs repair. Power supplies are entirely disposable to me, I have a shoe box full of them.
