  1. Part of me was hoping it wouldn't be this quick and easy to fix 😭

  2. What were the symptoms before you fixed it? Mine clicks and you can see the battery light turn on but the motor doesn’t turn on. Sometimes the motor starts and then immediately stops. Then finally it works after smacking the filter end with my palm. I’m not sure if that actually does anything but I try it anyway and after a few tries it usually works. But it stops and starts a lot. So I’m guessing this is different from what yours was doing?

  3. Thank you my man, you saved me a lot of grief and dollars. Keep up the great work.

  4. Thank you so much for your video. It was easy to follow & once we had the right screwdrivers it didn't take long to repair our Dyson.

  5. Thanks for a super helpful tutorial video.

  6. had the same problem (broken trigger), would've never guessed the fix was gonna be superglue 😀

  7. sadly two of the screws in my unit were already stripped for some reason…

  8. great tutorial. was very helpful in repairing the V10. I had to buy a T8 torx because I didn't have one at home and a trigger. the total cost is 7 euros vs 95 in service.

  9. Do you a reassembly video???

  10. Thanks mate. Saved me a bundle. Appreciate not having to watch 2 minutes of intro just to feed the algo.

  11. Welp, Now I found a specialized screwdriver kit on Amazon specifically for the Dyson V10 so giving it another shot now as I type.

  12. ALL that for a plastic trigger…..INSANE!

  13. My Dyson required a T8 Torx driver.

  14. Hi my vacuum is not working I think it’s the computer part.what is your suggestion?

  15. Thanks for creating this video. It was super helpful to troubleshoot the problem and my trigger was indeed broken on the v10. I tried super glue, but it ended up breaking again the next day. Ordered a replacement part on amazon. Small price to pay given that it will fix the issue. Also, taking the Dyson apart and giving it a thorough clean make the vacuum suction feel like it was brand new again.

  16. 100k views on this certain problem and Dyson still be like "nOt oUr fAuLt, yOuR vAcUuM iS oUT oF wArRanTy"

  17. Thank you so much for this video tutorial. It helped me to fix this exact issue. Thank you!!

  18. Very helpful video, I was able to fix using these steps. There are couple of tips I learned from fixing this

    1. Make sure you are using T8 screwdrivers. I used precison set and they were horrible to work with. Because a lot of screws are lodged DEEEEEP inside holes, precision sets didnt have enough grip and too short.

    2. Avoid magnetic screwdriver for the same reason, incredibly frustrating and will be useless

    3. You can get away with using torque screwdriver by using hexagon head, but not really recommended.

    4. Some screws inside around 1:50 can be rusted. I had to use pliers to unscrew them.

    5. The wholething took me about 1.5 hours, but I had to hack a lot of ways to get screws out due to not having proper tools. Knce you have every appropriate tools, this should be shorter.

    6. A lot of parts are assembled hard, so tou would need to use your force to disassemble them. Just be careful when you do it

    7. Just buy triggers off Amazon, sets of 3 costs less than $10

My 2 cents, but this was an amazing video.

  19. Great video, fixed my vacuum

  20. Excellent step by step instructions, and as you correctly pointed out, the right tools are necessary. You definitely must have the thin, long T8 star driver. The snap in assortment drivers wont get down into the handle assembly without it. Thanks for the great video

  21. Thank you so much! Along the lines of everyone else here, I had to purchase a T08 long screwdriver. Long nose pliers, patience, and removing the globs of silicone (or whatever it is called) did the trick!

Could you please consider adding overlays to the video incorporating the feedback eg correcting T10 to T08 or warning that the circuit board might be covered in plastic, and noting how to remove the electrical connection (was harder to do with all the plastic goop)?

Thanks for a working vacuum cleaner!!
