With the release of Minecraft 1.16.4 we now also have Forge and Optifine 1.16.4! This means you can now use 1.16.4 shaders with Optifine and Forge 1.16.4 allows you to run mods! But what if you want to use both Minecraft Forge and Optifine 1.16.4 together? In this video I will show you how to install Forge and Optifine 1.16.4 together. Of course, you will need Forge 1.16.4 too, so I’ll also show you how to install Forge for Minecraft 1.16.4, with Minecraft 1.16.4 Optifine! So apart from showing you how to install Forge and Shaders for Minecraft 1.16.4, I will also show you how to fix issues with the Forge installation. thanks but im having a problem whenever i try to load up forge with optifine it just kicks my out of minecraft do you know anything about this?
I got the following error and crash message after putting the optifine file in the mod folder and relaunching "Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraftforge/client/model/data/IModelData
Exit Code: -1"
anyone know how to fix the crashing?
the reason why i like this combo is because i like using shaders and using mods thats only available for forge and fabric. 1.19 came in and i love the update but i can't use this combo anymore :<

haha im dumb i did all steps hopped in forge and then saw no more options then looked optifine 1.18.2 but forge is 1.19! 😂

To those who don't want to watch the entire video to hear something that could be said in like 20 seconds:
Move optifine jar to the mods folder and launch minecraft via forge profile.
no offence, i mean the author still helped me it just took a little more time than it could have 🙂

hi, i wanted to know how to solve the problem i have, until installing FORGE and optifine everything is fine, but when i enter my Tlaucher the forge has a little warning in the upper right corner: this installation has been modified and may not be compatible with the latest security features for gamers, then if I try to enter the forge it says the game stopped working, do you know how to solve it?

I did those exact steps but when I went to launch the game a second time with Optifine it game showed me an Exit Code 0 error.
