I recently sold off my production gear for some reason, now I am getting back my new stuff through your advice, could you please tell me if I could do without monitor speakers & with new studio headphones initially for a month or 2!! can I still release my new music? 4. Excellent video man! Sweet and straight to the point

  5. Bandlab is free great for beginners and you can use it on your phone. Make a blanket fort with heavy blankets for a temporary vocal booth.

  6. Asus ZenBook Pro Duo has been super reliable what it comes to making music. 32gb, 1 tera memory. Cool feature is double OLED screen (other you can use for mixer for example). Very expensive laptop though.

  7. Making music is very theraputic but its a very expensive hobby!

  8. Can you please provide more information on which walls I need to add acoustics? Is it only behind the computer or on all four walls and ceiling?

  9. Do we have to buy the music production software or what i didn't get this right

  10. first question, how to split the computer into 2 seperate channels?

  11. What turntables/mixers would you recommend for the beginner DJ to add to the basic setup? Great tutorial! 👍

  12. What if I are not using any microphone or external instrument apart from my MIDI, do I still need an audio interface? @EdwardSmithMusic

  13. so we DONT need an mpc?… idk shit about music smh..

  14. can we talk about how he said 'buy Fl studio'kkkkk

  15. This was an amazing video. It pretty much covers everything needed for vocals. Thanks man.

  16. Can anyone help me with a setup studio ?
I really need it here in Solomon Islands.

  17. Great video and probably a stupid question but if the laptop has two usb interfaces, one is used for the midi controller and the other for the audio interface, how are you supposed to work abelton without the mouse as there is no space left? Do you need a non cable mouse to get round this? Lol. Any help whouid be appreciated.

  18. Thanks. I have a pre amp also besides my audio interface. Can i use it with my sound card or its not useful atvall?

  19. Hello sir can you tell me name of the apps?

  20. I have subscribe already, you deserved it. nice demonstrations.

  21. you are Great. thanks a lot

  22. Hey I've got a question.,how do you hook up N actual electric guitar.? Can you use an audio interface direct or can I use an amp? …I'm Old school musician who prefer s playing an actual instrument as oppose to using computer program with preset artificial instrumentz

  23. Golden information here, thanks

  24. When it comes to choosing software, if you're on a budget and you're a beginner, Mixcraft is 100% the way to go. User friendly, tons of options, you can always download sample packs and comes with over 1000 samples itself. I've been using it for maybe about 15 years, and I don't think I'll ever get a new one. I can't remember how much it costs but Mixcraft is the way to go if you want a user friendly software that you can jump right in and start learning 👍

Interface: Focusrite Solo (which is seen plugged in to his computer, it's the red box on his desk) is definitely my pick. It does what it needs to do and I think the updated model is the my next big purchase for sure.

Microphones: When I sing I have a baritone/bass overtone to my voice. I like to sing maybe a tenor to an alto, but it's natural to have a certain tone that makes your voice the way it is. I needed a mic that did not mess with the levels and is basically a blank slate when it comes to how kuch it messes with things. The NT1 (not the NT1-A) is my choice since I can edit all the vocals I need to in my software the way I need them. I can lower the lows and boost the mids to make it sound the way I want.

Headphones: In my opinion, the best way to go is open back headphones for playing the instrument and recording. Closed back for editing, mixing and mastering. I use a pair of open back roland headphones when I play, and closed back Rode for editing. Open back let's you still hear your environment but let's your ears breath so if you are constantly recording for hours and hours, I don't want my ears getting sweaty and all that. Closed back close off the sound around you so you only hear what YOURE playing and nothing else. Great for editing and hearing all the small stuff.

    I hope that helped a bit 🙂

  25. Despite what this video says, you still need an audio interface if you are using a microphone that doesn't require phantom power.

  26. ✨🎶excellent info… thank you for sharing. *QUESTION: what is that gray device you plugged the midi into that connects to the laptop? 🎶✨

  27. How do I determine what is the best microphone for my voice? Is there a way other than buying a microphone and testing it out? Does anyone have advice? I hear a lot about certain microphones being better for pop music, but that is not enough information and I don’t necessarily sing pop. I dont have a lot of low end to my voice. E minor is my highest note. My voice is really smooth, controlled, and not too loud or powerful.

  28. Scored my first producer job after watching videos like this for 6 years, no college degree just passion and work ethic. If you want it bad enough you’ll find a way, so yeah life 🐝 good!

  29. One of the best studio setup videos out there !!! I know I've watched a lot 🎉🎉🎉🎉

  30. It's ironic that the democratization of home recording studios through low cost affordability has for some reason coincided with a marked reduction in the quality of new music. There just doesn't seem to be any good new music coming out yet most all musicians can afford recording equipment it if they really want it. Why is that? It seems counter intuitive. Maybe the high cost of recording use to make musicians concentrate more on their playing prowess and compositions. Plus they were freed up from figuring out all the technical aspects of setting up a studio and in having to engineer the recording simultaneous with their performance.

  31. Legends say this man has his camera still running until his next video

  32. If you’re a beginner. FL studio will be the best DAW to use. For one my personal opinion it’s one of the easiest DAWS to learn how to use and two: once you purchase FL, you get free upgrades for life anytime FL drops another version

  33. Man I cant tell you how happy I got when I heard that South African accent after clicking on this video ❤ Great video bro !!💥

  34. amazing thank u . great and informative details we need this all-music artists singer songwriters.

  35. This is all I have searching for. Thanks alot.

  36. Hi, great video, but how do you record your vocals while the music instrumental is playing. That's a vital part of the tutorial you missed out.

  37. I'm currently using a V8 soundcard set for recording on soundtrap but whenever I sing high notes the audio starts to crackle. I did some research online and they said smt about keeping it at 24bit depth but I have no clue what that is 😢. Please help do I need to change a soundcard or a better mic or smt 😭

  38. Im a singer but not famous ,Im trying to make home studio for myself ,but I dont know how to do this and that,is it possible to learn by myself and try it?
