Soo, i gave it a try, instead of telling me I did not have a good CPU, it told me I had no internet connection, I'll edit if it works on a second try, or third, or fourth 😢
Edit1. I did have a wifi connection
Edit2. Still did not work, I’ll try to delete and redownload the Oculus setup 🙂
Edit3. I’ve tried this four times now, still no luck, the last three times it said the CPU thing, must’ve done something wrong, I’ll try again, maybe in edit4 this will work 🙂

when i try to open the SDE file it doesn’t say open with winzip even tho i have winzip downloaded??

I kept doing this over and over again, but everytime I finish the oculus app install, it just tells me to restart. I'm in a loop and I need some guidance. I followed the same steps the reddit lead me to. I downloaded the same things they did, and used the same unzipping program, 7Zip.
when i ran the final command, the oculus setup opened after a few minutes of waiting and i had the option to get started. i clicked get started and the app closed. was i supposed to wait for longer?

Update: I will probably never end up being able to play because of the computer in general, the graphic card is bad and it won’t link… welp

I dont understand i followed all what you did and started over to see if that'll work but my cmd don't recognize sde as a command.
The Intel file is different named from your file with date so I used the one I have.
Where is my pathway?

How do you fix the internet error on oculus setup with this method?
CPU is not supported on my Windows 7, the 4.2 SE, there's a problem with it, do you have any tips on how to fix this? I really want a VR headset!!
