Let’s fix Controller #1 of Joblot #3 that moves forward when you are pressing L2. This fix also works if you are aiming up when pressing L2 or if your R2 trigger interacts with your left or right stick (most common error seems to be R2 makes you go left). You just need to work on the corresponding axis/potentiometer to fix your problem !
I also suggest that you try to reset your controller before attempting that kind of repair.

After 5 years, my Dualshock 4 had some serious trouble with left analog stick and was "moving forward on L2". With the help of your video and some other instructions on the web, I was able to fix it completely. It plays perfectly again! Great job, thank you for sharing!

Just made the issue worse for me personally, spent 2 hours taking it apart and cleaning it to only have one of the green covers over potentiometer snap off 🤦🏼♂️ if the covers don’t close properly after opening them up to clean them your screwed as it’s really difficult to bend those clips back to shape without breaking them
Unfortunately didn't fix it for me. It did screw up the front light. But couldn't use the controller anymore anyway.

I saw a Reddit pot and you just stick ur moth over the l2 and blow until air comes out and that seamed to work for me

Mine just stop working, and the L2 and R2 stop working with the PS button, and it's weird, i see that when i move the left joystick up the L2 jump to the max, i will try to clean the inside, 3 months ago just changed the membrane, so, maybe i need to change the joystick too.
Thanks for your help, I've been playing PS4 since it was released, now I have a PS5 but I still use the DualShock 4 for my favourite PS4 games that I still play, L2 started failing and moving forward. I fixed it in less of an hour, it had a lot of dirt inside and it still has some that I can't remove, but it's working fine. Thanks again mate.
