How to Fix One-Sided Audio and Copy Left Channel to Right Channel (or Right to Left) in Cubase

In this Cubase tutorial, I will show you how to avoid having one-sided audio on your stereo files by copying the left channel to the right channel. If you’re audio is only on one side and you essentially want to make a stereo file mono, this is the tutorial for you.

I hope it helps. And, check out the links below if you want to support the channel! Thanks!

  1. Really helped me out – thank you!

  2. Or. – 'Project – Create Track – Audio – Mono' – then just drag the offending audio to the new track – and – hey presto – takes 10 secs.

  3. DUDE THIS WAS SO HELPFUL!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!! 😀

  4. Just piling on the thanks for this video. Even in Cubase 12, that's the quick and easy answer for a recording coming in on only one side. I appreciate it.

  5. Thank you so much! I was tearing my hair out.

  6. Dude your intro music is fire

  7. You're a Myth! As always…

  8. I have another issue, which is still unsolved. And it's a pain in the ass, i mean ears

When channel's pan set 0 (both right and left are 100), left channel is like 180% louder! When i pan totally to the right, i can hear weak signal coming out. Pan set to ~75 (in the favour for right channel) gives me balance to both channels.

I am no expert. I believe I have turned something in the settings, as I believe it cant be just jamming or something.

It really doesnt matter, wheter it's a mic/guitar (both analogue), or even imported mp3 file into Cubase to a stereo audio track. HELP! :-))))

  14. i need to do the opposite, i'm trying to do a sequence, and i need a metronome in only one side to send that to my headphones and the other to the console to perform, but with the pan i still can hear a bit of the metronome, and that's a problem :/
