HorizonHobby.com-How-To Install the Hughes 500e Body on the T-REX 450 Pro

You can purchase or find more information about the Hughes 500e body at this link: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=AGNKZ0820105A
We have all seen some of the phenomenal helicopter pilots doing wild 3D maneuvers with Aligns Trex 450 Pro, they are impressive. Recently, I have seen many people flying scale helicopters and enjoying the real helicopter look of the models while flying around the flying site. Align has a very nice Hughes 500e scale helicopter conversion for the T-REX 450SE. The question was will it also work with the new 450 Pro? The answer is yes, but it does require a couple minor modifications. The needed changes were not difficult but might require a couple things not included in the kit. Basically, it requires two small pieces of 1/8 inch plywood cut to fit the 450 Pro landing gear mounting, a new tail rotor pushrod and two standoffs for the vertical stabilizer mount. Our video will highlight these items. Also the finished helicopter is somewhat tail heavy so rather than add lead weight I suggest using the E-flite 3200mAh 3S li-po battery which is somewhat heavier than the recommended 2100mAH battery. Ultimately it flies very nicely and is still capable of performing basic aerobatic maneuvers.

When it is completed the new fuselage conversion of the T-REX 450 Pro makes a striking appearance in the air. The video will show you exactly how to get your own together without any problem.
