You can now boot and run windows 10 even in a 8GB micro SD Card. I wont waste my time on this OLD XP OS. Windows 10 is much better.

I'd love to do a portable/live version of xp on a usb thumb drive and boot an actual computer with it (not a vm)… what exactly is the secret sauce that tricks XP into writing to the usb drive while it's running from it? For some reason its treating it as a cd-rom.
I've read a tutorial that suggests modifying the vhd file to add sata/ firadisk/winvblock drivers, but either I did it wrong, or it doesn't work.
For example, given a vhd file that boots in VirtualBox, how do you copy it to the usb to make it bootable.. is grub4dos (grldr and menu.lst) the only way?

Also I tried installing xp TO a flash drive, not from it. My HDD is broken and I'M NOT PAYING 10 FUCKING DOLLARS FOR A REFURBISHED ONE. I have an official Xp setup disc. After it copied files, rebooted, and showed the Xp loading logo, a BSOD shows up with Error 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.
I googled "free hard drive" and "free hard drive repair" but to no avail the search results gave me SOFTWARE, NOT SERVICES. C'mon, Google!

Guys, download Rufus or Unetbootin, they're free if you want to make your flash drives bootable. There's also a bootable ISO maker/burner called ImgBurn and it's free as well.

So I never actually comment on videos but what was done here is terrible. BUT you guys can find the software he uses. If you watch the video you can see the name of the program and through a lil googling I found it to. You're looking for Grub4DOS method xp to flash. The actual program is an .exe called WINGRB0206. I purposely did not link here so this won't get removed or banned. Hope that helps. 😉

thought you boot it from the USB and run the wins XP from it too. but you are using a virtual program. then your title is misleading.
