Easily find and fix a leak in a tire – No Jack Required

My girlfriend had a slow leak in her tire. It was pretty easy to find this leak but sometimes they can be difficult to locate. I show you how to do that and how to easily fix the tire without even jacking up the car.

  1. Sometimes you have to ream the whole a little bigger than what the kit tool allows, so I carry a round tapered file about 3/16 "dia to ream it bigger so that you don't have to kill yourself pushing the plug into the hole.

  2. do you have to pull the screw out? if the tire can't move bc its in the rear, can you super glue around the screw head and seal it up?

  3. I've repaired my tire today, making sure i did everything right. He should have added some air to the tire first, and i think he forgot to put cement on the sealant before inserting it

  4. what the name of the tool he is using?

  5. listening to these morons replay negatively to this makes me know why there are so many scams that take advantage of people,. they deserve to be taken to the cleaners b/c they are f idiots

  6. No way. Get it fixed properly. Plug/patch from the inside. NO Outside plugs!

  7. That was nice, but that won't work on the rear tires without pulling out the tire.

  8. Its ok to fo that on the road where there is no shop to fix.
If not flat then drive to the shop nearby to have it sealed from inside

  9. Don't waste soap or water testing. Only insults people's intelligence. Just pull the thing out and and throw in a plug

  10. My friend u just earned a sub for life first time doing anything like tire stuff I'm a chef had a nail just brought a house so my funds are depleted wife just had a baby she's off work man o man u are a life saver

  11. Very nice…but what if your flat is in the rear?🤔

  12. My plug blew out on the motorway at a speed of 135 KMPH, in the middle of nowhere. Very risky to fix the tire this way. Luckily it was the rear tire. It is much safer to have the punctured area vulcanised from inside.

  13. HI, VERY GOOD VIDEO, I HAVE BEEN DOING IT THE SAME WAY FOR YEARS BUT LET ME ASK YOU THIS, FIRST IS IT NOT NECESSARY TO PUT GLUE ON THE NEW PLUG BEFORE SENDING IT IN THE HOLE? ALSO AND VERY IMPORTANT, I WAS TOLD YOU HAVE TO PULL THE NEW PLUG OUT (QUICKLY), IS THAT NOT NECESSARY EITHER??? THANK YOU, TOM

  14. "Fix a leak without a jack". I suspect their is a reason why this is always done on a front tire. Experience says the rear is more likely. Front tire kicks the object up, and the rear tire gets nailed (no pun).

  15. Are they road legal , is it lawful ??

  16. I don't recommend standing, kneeling or working on vehicle or tyre (tire) while highway traffic is driving near you. I could drive into a parking lot to do something or call for tyre change person/toe truck. Hope helps

  17. My punctured tyres seem only to be flat at the bottom

  18. walmart would not fix my nail in tire leak b/c they said it was on the sidewall, it was exactly in the same spot as this leak, so I did fix it myself with a plug and it has already lasted 2 years. walmart is fo full of sht it's pathetic.

  19. Please use a proper selant to privent corrotion on inside steel belts. If not due to water prent on the road with polluted air will certainly distroy the life time of the tyre.

  20. Yup keep that slime repair package and the slime small 12v pump in trunk. Used it many a time 👍

  21. Front tire may not need a jack but rear tires you may need a jack which I do not recommend fix the tire on the Jack it is dangerous and the car may fall on you but you may need to take the tire out of the car and then fix it.

  22. should have used tire sealant on plug before inserting the plug

  23. Much appreciated for this help, TY!

  24. Beats getting a run flat or shelling out $20 bucks at a tire shop.

  25. I used contact cement together with the plug…I think works betterr cause it seals stronger in my opinion…Great video by the way…!!!!

  26. When you make the hole bigger, how deep should you go?

  27. I know this video six years old, but I just save me a whole lot of money… Thank you for putting this up! God bless

  28. I always thought this was a gimmick, but I think I will invest in a pack of these.

  29. Just plugged my first tire. Thanks for the guide 👍

  30. Tubeless tires only, folks! If you try this on a tire that isn't, you're gonna have a bad time. Ask me how I know.

  31. You are very clear explanations and you looks very honest. Thankyou

  32. If I don’t wanna buy a new tire can I just use this plug and it shouldn’t break or anything daily driving it

  33. Very helpful. Like to suggest carrying a portable tire inflator. Especially on long trips. Thanks for posting.

  34. Didn’t know how it was done. I wondered why the garage didn’t call e back to tighten nuts.

  35. Lubriate the plug with a little bit of spit before you try to push it into the tire. Also, make sure the tire is fully inflated before trying to insert the plug. Makes it easier to push it into the tire.

  36. It was funny yesterday I seen a screw in my tire. First stop told me legally they couldn’t do it because it’s not in a specific area. They told me I would need a new tire I said ok I’ll let you know once I get the cash. Took it to a different tire shop they patched it in a minute I wanna say they did it this way you showed and covered it with some yellow stuff for extra measure for a low killer prize of 8 dollars 7 for service and dollar fee for card I was in shock they hooked your boy up x2 I’m definitely going back to them for any service needed. Not saying anybody is better but I love my Mexican people always taking care of people the right way.

  37. For how long will this tyre work?
