  1. Hard to find mechanics these days who take the extra time to make things right. Well done!!!

  2. This kind of damage is common when you assemble things with an impact driver

  3. My poor 2007 Taco 4×4 came missing this shield…. Factory shields are expensive!

  4. Thank you for you honesty and caring for your customer. This will come back to you in ten folds.

  5. I can't stand hacks, I like to do things once and do them right…

  6. isn't the correct term for this plate an Engine Under Cover and not a 'skid plate' ?

  7. Somebody stripped the transmission oil pan plug on my 1999 Toyota Corolla Le can I fix that without removing the pan?
    Thank you in advance.Petr.

  8. Such a pleasure to see a mechanic who cares, and does things right, like an old fashioned craftsman. One of the reasons I've done my own car maintenance and repairs for over 50 years is that tomany mechanics are rough and ready, and don't take any pride in their work. This is exactly what I would do on my own vehicle. Well done, your customer is fortunate to find you.

  9. I don't know how I feel about it, but for some guys who have plastic aerodynamic covers under the vehicle, they cut a hole for the oil filter access and a zip tie or wire with two holes drilled. Not sure about the guys with the metal plates. And I'm not a big fan of just buying a new aftermarket one just for the access.

  10. Yes, every oil change on the '17 is an ordeal with the stock skid plate. I am going after market soon. Thanks for the video.

  11. At least it was just a skid plate bolt and not a drain plug… or worse.

  12. Peter, just remove the air damage first..

  13. Yep. I'm taking my 2021 4 runner into dealer for 35k service before my warranty expires. Normal oil change and inspection, etc. I am having them install a TRD skid plate and I am now wondering how much corrosion is there after 3 years. The last angry beavers busted off front bolts of the plastic bit that attaches to the actual skid plate. Don't need with TRD skid but I will make sure to communicate the anti-seize on the 4 remaining bolts. Man, how I wish I lived near your neck of the woods so I could hire you to maintain my rig. Alaska is too far away.

  14. I get my oil filter from up top but I’m tall and have long arms and use a bag for drips. Easier than having that skid plate fall in my head.

  15. 🏋️‍♂️💪🔧🔩 No gym required
    ❤❤❤

  16. Seems like every time you start a video your neighbors start making noise 😂

  17. Skidplate should have a access door for the oil filter so don't need to remove it each time for a oil filter change!

  18. I can understand the anti-seize for the bolts . Though for the plastic cover underneath my oil pan , I'll use a lubricant spray on the bolts . Though if I lived in an area when there was regular snow , I would use the anti-seize .
