This was generally a well made video, but, it did not finish the job. You had said in the video that you would show how to connect the pipes afterward, but 10 years later, and that never happened. So, now I have to find someone else's video that covers that part.
Not all dishwasher installations require the knock-out plug to be punched out. Depending on how you finished the plumbing, punching out the dishwasher knock-out plug can cause you a big problem.
Also, most homeowners that need this video are going to be replacing a previous installation, not new construction. So, information on removing the prior disposal would be helpful.
Installing a garbage disposal for some reason was relatively easy. Installing a faucet however was a royal pain in the ass.

Is the entire grind chamber stainless steel? I agree Insinkerator is the best in some sense and they're made in USA, though I have a 1 horsepower Waste King and it is a terrific beast. The Insinkerator 1 HP model I believe is more tame and quiet but also much more expensive.

It's all easy until actually attaching to the sink. I can't get the clips to align up to attach. I still have to call a plumber. All videos make it look easy to attach.
Added a disposal but water is backing up from no disposal sink and backing up do both has wa water and drains very slow…sugared drain and seem fine and alittle slope on all pipes? Their is air fitting off top of drain to just below sink….frustrated
3 year warranty,,that’s about the minimum for garbage disposals 🙄

What am I doing wrong? I can’t get that ring in there. I’ve tried & tried. Used a screwdriver like you showed to do in the video but to no avail. I know it’s not easy do but does anyone have a trick to get it in there?

spinning the old one off is tough,no amount of muscle would free mine! soaked it in WD40 Didnt work,might have to call a plumber!!

Great video! My disposal was dead, nothing was happening, after going through all the troubleshooting, all I got was a humming noise. Then I disassembled it from under the sink, took to my utility tub and deep cleaned. I found a piece of plastic in it, I believed that that was the problem, but not sure because even after removing it, all I got was still the humming sound and I was glad I didn't put it back in before making sure it was working. I was about to give up and go buy a new one, but then decided to take another look inside, I saw a little piece of food still stuck in there, I didn't think that that was the issue, but I got it out with my needle tool and guess what? It worked! This video was great to help me put it back on. My major problem was the weight of the disposal, I had to use several things from around the house to give me leverage but I'm really happy that I've saved money from having to hire a plumber and from having to buy a new one. I'm pretty sure that if I had hired a plummer I'd have to buy a new one as plumber's don't usually have the patience to troubleshoot the problem.
