tried all three of these things and my dryer still isnt working- is there anything else it could be?
When you turn the knob to any position other than "off" it starts to hum, but it will not start.
The blower wheel moves freely too so i dont think its the motor…

This is an awesome video thanks! Well.. it's not the thermal fuse for me. The internal light is not coming on when the door is open as it used to on the dryer. That tells me that there's no power getting to it but I've tested this with a sensor and there is power. Is there a fuse somewhere else on these dryers?

A note on the pattern I experience before the dryer quit completely: the dryer at first still worked for a few minutes before cutting out. It went like this about 3 or 4 times before stopping working altogether. Afterwards I removed and tested the fuse with a multimeter and it showed no continuous circuit or resistance, and once replaced it worked immediately.
Mine was the door switch, nice of them to leave enough wire to make a temporary jumper wire!

I first replaced the thermal fuse and then the start switch. Still not starting. The light turns on and off when we open/close the door. Do I still need to check continuity for the door?

The door switch on mine was bad and I was going to replace it, as the dryer would keep spinning with the door open. Then the dryer wouldn't start at all. Could the door switch be responsible for both issues, or is it likely that it made the thermal fuse pop? I'll buy both since they're cheap, but hoping I won't have to install a start switch.

Great video, saving hundreds of dollars. Possible amateur tip, if the dryer timer is running there should be power to the dryer.
Do you need to remove dryer vent hose to remove the cover to get to the thermal fuse?
