Samsung Dryer Heating Element Replacement – How to Fix a Samsung Dryer Not Heating

Samsung Washer & Dryers are now America’s most popular laundry system. However, any tech will tell you that the dryers like to fail with issues like they won’t run or heat.

Fortunately, the repairs are pretty cheap, but require a bit of know-how and a few parts. I hope this video explains in a reasonable way how to diagnose and fix most common issues with a Samsung console-top dryer. For frontload dryers, the course of tests and events is going to be extremely similar other than how to remove the interface/front from a frontload dryer.

  2. Thank you so much brother!!! I changed the belt tensioner arm before (plastic garbage design) myself and just replaced the heating element today. The actual most difficult process is the belt on the arm for me when reassembling.
Just curious to ask others that have done this, is a little newness heat smell normal when first turning it on and it running for a few minutes? I would think it’s completely normal based on previous experiences on other electrical heating elements.
But thanks again…..it only cost me $47.80 for the aftermarket part….it would cost $280 for the OEM part but hell, it’s all the same quality pretty much.

  3. Thank you!! Your demo was very helpful and clearly explained!! It took us all morning, but thanks to you and your video we got it done!!

  4. Super helpful video. I was able to replace the components without removing the Drum but is still good to have all the details just incase

  5. Thanks for the video, really helpful!

  6. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! This video was so on point for my dryer. We ordered the part and play the video step by step. Put it back together and it works perfectly.

  7. You shouldn't have to take screws out to open top. Just lift from the front

  8. What happens if it’s getting too hot now and smells slightly like burning. I have a thermo gun on the back and it’s reading 215 at the silver grate

  9. Ok so I’m back. I NEVER send $$ on you tube but good golly I’ve used this one particular video 3 times now and you have saved me so much $$$ so thank you!

Also we got a replacement lint screen for this model and it allowed SO much lint through that we just dodged a bullet as the lint blanket was singed inside! Again… thank you for helping me fix this monster!

  10. Hi! So I was able to do everything you showed and it was so so helpful but after a week the coils on the heating element fell apart. What did I do wrong?

  11. Great video. Does the thermalnfuse thermister have to be placed a certain way? There is no indication on either part which is top or bottom….thanks

  12. im doing this now same dryer, couldnt remember how the belt went back on, now i know!

  13. Great video, thank you ! In my case i have a front loader. It was easier for me to removed the rear bottom panel in order to get the belt over the motor gear and around the tensioner. I couldn't do it blindly from the front.

  14. Do not touch samsung products, just bad…low qualities…just junks ! i learned the hard way !just save your headache….stay away ! why does it's only happened to this brand ! ask yourself ?

  15. Thank you! Your guide helped me tremendously. It was easy to tear apart but putting back together it was tight and that belt assy took me a few attempts. I kept referring back to your videos and you got me thru it. Thank you!!

  16. This video helped me so much. I was able to successfully replace my heating element. Some of it didn’t apply but I just skipped it. Thank god for this gentleman

  17. Thank you so much! I was able to follow this and easily take apart my dryer. I've ordered the parts hopefully putting everything back together goes as smoothly
