Wow, great help. I retired after 45 years as an industrial machinery mechanic – compressors (air and gas), generators, pumps and their control systems. But I don't have the desire to make such a great youtube channel about what I worked on. Just remember an old tech thanks you for helping him bypass a dead thermostat in the heat of a Texas summer. I'll run to town tomorrow, but I want to sleep tonight.
What if when I connect my R and Y wires the circuit shorts and blow my fuse?
What if it's an old thermostat and only has rc and rh for "r"s???

Great video 👍. With those Honeywell thermostats. Isn’t there a way to unlock it if it was in restricted access mode? That way you can then set it to whatever temperature you want in either heating or cooling
