Repair review of common LCD TV Problems and Repair

We are going to be giving a general overview of LCD TV Repair in this video and we are going to be taking a look at the different components in LCD TVs and what can go wrong with the components and the symptoms they will show and how to diagnose the problems and how to get them fixed.
Before beginning work, be sure you have unplugged the TV from any power source and that you are properly grounded.
Remove all the screws for the back cover of the TV.
Remove the back panel of the TV.
Identify different parts of the TV. Power supply takes in and distributes power throughout the TV.
Main board typically manages all inputs and outputs for your video and sound.
Backlight Inverter controls your CCFLs and the light source for the TV.
T-con board connects the video from the main board to the panel through the LVDS cable.
Not every TV is the exact same.
There are two different levels of TV repair, component level repair and board replacement repair.
The first thing that could go wrong with the power supply is that the TV will not turn on. Be sure your outlet works and then begin to diagnose the issue and either check components or replace your power supply board.
Some common problems on these power supply boards are bad capacitors with bulgy caps or leaking fluid.
The first sign that the main board could have a problem is if you do not have an image on the screen. Be sure your source video is working correctly. Either replace the problem components on the board or replace the entire board.
The t-con board could show a problem symptom if you are able to hear the show on your screen, but you cannot see the image, there is most likely a problem with your t-con board. The t-con is also known for causing vertical colored lines or half of your screen not having an image.
Backlight inverter problem symptoms turn on the TV and the image only shows for a second and then the image goes black, or if you have a flickering image on your screen it could be the backlight inverter that is causing this problem.

I have an old rak 46 tv and it goes black but the sound is on.i tried to find a back light but couldn't find it's exact one, i want to know can i use another brands back light and modify it?
I HAVE SAMSUNG UN50TU8000FXZA. A SEVERAL DADYS AGO TY TURN OFF AN I HAD PROBLEM TO TURN ON PROPERLY. I UNPLUGGED IT WAIT PLUGGED IT ……..AGAIN…..THIS TIME HOLD START BUTTOM 30 SECCOND …..AFTER A FEW TIME TV START WORKING. YESTERDAY THE TV TURNED OFF AND I CAN TURN IT ON. WHEN I DO I HAVE BLACK ANE BLUE SCREEN. WHEN I DISCONECTED POWER SUPPLY FROM MAIN BOARD I GOT SOUND AND CNOTINUOUS REGULLAR BLUE SCREEN. ITS WORKING WITHOUT PICTURE. WHEN I CONNECTETED TO MAIN BOARD AGAIN JUST BLACK AN BLUE SCREEN ALTERNATELY. SHOULD I REPLACE A MAIN BOARD? OR ITS PROBLEM WITH TCON BOARDS ?

Toshiba 55u7863DBC, 10120022 181000212 (2019). TV fails to enter standby. No green LED on front panel with AC applied. PSU DC outputs measured on diodes seem ok. 2x25V, 4x12v, 4x78v. PSU is Vestel
Thanks for any suggestion as to cause. Note failure occurred while TV was on and functioning. It briefly recovered for 1 day then stopped again mid operation.

Problem I'm having is my Philips TV turns on picture comes on and the shuts it self off instantly
I just replaced my mainboard on my CX after my television was randomly freezing and making a horrific siren like nose until I unplugged it. It would also randomly freeze without the noise and I would have to unplug it to get it to work again.
I ended finding a lot on eBay containing a used like new mainboard, power supply, wifi module, power button, and screen board for only $75. I couldn't believe how cheap I got all of these parts for; $75 for a $291 mainboard is a steal. I got really lucky finding this deal. My tv works fine now and I have a ton of backup parts as well. Doing this myself saved me around $500 to $600. The hardest part was moving the tv out of the carpeted room and into a room without carpet.
I have a sharp lc-55le653u television that has sound but no picture. When I turned it on, there was a picture for a split second and then it blinked off but it still lights up, there isn't any picture though, I tried replacing the tcon board and the main board, really because they were cheaper, but neither worked, any tips or tricks, or hints or help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have a Seiki Ultra -HD SMART TV model SC-49UK700N that recently started not showing a picture! I was watching it and decided to turn it off before going leaving home. When I returned home I had sound but no picture. I used the flash light test and discovered I could see images although very faintly. I turned of all lights in the room and saw nothing through the panels. What is your suggestion for this set??

I have a magnavox model 40me313v/f7 that our male cat marked his territory on. The power input volume board is corroded. When I turn the TV on it flashes a couple inputs and turns off. Is that small little board a part I can order?

Hello Jimmy thanks for you video my tv is RCA model RTU 4921 and ist S/N is A2l1702196240001587 and is sowing vertical lines and the colors of the picture is getting changed. Could it be the main board?
And the bottom of the tv I guess it call the black light Len be blinking off and on
