😊 I own a 2002 camaro and not having any problems yet, but I seen a lot of people talking about this online. My car only has barely over 96k miles but it looks like I will be testing my key and buying some resistors that match and placing them in my glove box. Then when ever I have this problem, 😂 I'll be ready to just switch it over and drive home. Thanks for posting this.

what if the previous owner cut the white and purple cable instead of the orange cable? how do i fix this
Can you just. Check the resistor on the key .
And then fit correct one .
My key barrel . Turns on to start too far . And its dead .
If i let key turn slight back it cranks and starts

You can test the resistance in the key with a multi meter to see what the ohms are, Lol

What diffrent ohms where in the kit? I live in sweden so we dont have these kits
Measure resistor on key. Then measure resistor. When find combination that equals key resistance, solder together . And install on car wires. Done
Mine runs for 3 seconds and shuts off
seems like a fun thing to do over a few beers. by the time you hit the correct one you are half hammered and really happy

Okay doing this rn rn but you said purple &white and white &black… The orange cord coming from my car (04impala) have different colors mine are 1 Black 1 white 1 red 1 brown.. did I cut the wrong cord bc it's the only orange one I see

mechanic broke ignition lock cylinder to get to turn thinking he could start with a screwdriver. key has sensor n I think vatslock tho I'm not sure. the ignition will turn w screw driver tho car tries to start n dies. the security light comes on. I'm n country w no towing. can I get it to start another way?I've tried keeping key next to sensor n relearning w on n off 10 mins 3times .no luck after many tries. plz help.
