Hello, Do somebody know what size the six screws are that hold the pcb board in place?
Nice vid, but need little mention, gopro filter can be detached just by rotating it, no needs in breaking it to pull back again.
The other spots is on point. Wanted to change housing with removing a display from it, now i see it is difficult than i thought

can the lens be disassembled? it seems that inside the lens there is a kind of glass ball..and mine looks like the ball is loose..can it be fixed?
a note about how you removed the lense, it is a lot easier if you twist it off im confident you know this now but figured id say it anyways

I have a gopro hero 5 black and it began to overheat right after the warranty expired. I have done everything to remedy the problem with no success. Gopro wants me to buy a "known good" sd card, but I am not interested in spending more money on this camera. In normal use, the camera will record for a maximum of 2 or 3 minutes. If I put it into the freezer of my refrigerator, it records for over an hour. Obviously the temp sensing component has gone out of range and is defective.
Any idea if the temp sensor is something that can be replaced? I've rebuilt cell phones and have done some very complex work. Just wondering if this camera would be worth opening up to attempt this fix. Appreciate any input. Thanks!
mine screen came off without much efforts I used hair dryer to heat the glue and with fine edge of paper cutter took off the screen
Do you know if it's possible to improve the audio by removing some of the shite membrane around the mic holes? 😩 I know I'm commenting 6 years later aha.
