  1. Dorman 577-106 Fuel Filler Neck Inlet Check Valve – This also works

  2. I have a Evap light on. Turns out it’s a small hole in the gas tank. I notice the smell of gas if I fill my tank up more than 3 quarters of a tank. The shop told me to replace that entire part it would cost me over $1,000. With this video I will definitely see if I can get someone to help me for a cheaper price. Thank you so much for this video ❤

  3. I couldn’t get the valve out of my tank ??

  4. Nice video awesome thank you

  5. Do you by chance have a part number for this fitting? I think this is the problem with my truck.

  6. How long did the repair last? Check engine light stay off?

  7. Where do I get that adapter?

  8. For my 2004 Envoy I am going to try Ace HW BK Products 1 1/4 in barb x 1 1/4 in MPT steel adapter (to get the 1 1/4 inch so the hose will fit) along with the STZ Industries 1 1/2 MPT x 1 1/4 in galvanized hex bushing (to get the 1 1/2 inch size to match up to the the tank opening) … Anyone have any comments on this?

  9. Does the tank need to be empty?

  10. I just did this with the inch and a 1/2 adapter as stated in your video now my gas line will not connect to my gas tank is there a different Hos to use if so where do I get it

  11. Excellent instruction/demo vid!!!

  12. Gas resistance is quite different from Gas proof…

  13. Are there different tank set ups?
Because it looks like some of them go through the inside of the tank. Not from outside in.

  14. Does anyone have a store and part number/ item number I can use to get this adapter?

  15. I did this exact same thing as this video and it fixed my problem thanks for this video got me out very cheap and it's done right

  16. Could you please provide a supply and tool check list that you used so I know exactly what I need to get.

  17. Pretty nice however if that check valve starts to fail you'll have to replace entire tank I imagine. The great part about actual repair kit is it comes with a new check valve.

  18. having trouble finding fitting. where did u get it from?

  19. I have a 2003 GMC Envoy and have the same problem. How long did this fix last you guys? Also if it didnt last, did you redo and how easy was it to redo or did you try something else?

  20. Thank you this worked great on my GMC Envoy. No leaks yet hope it holds! Thanks again

  21. NHTSA's new search tool lets you enter a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to quickly learn if a specific vehicle has not been repaired as part of a safety recall in the last 15 years. CHECK THIS OUT HERE!! http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pro... I Have a 2004 Trailblazer & THEY FIXED IT AS SOON AS THEY KNEW IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! 000000000000000$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Chevy
put on a NEW tank for FREE!!!

  22. there is a factory recall for this folks. check with GMC!

  23. Excellent fix! Thanks for sharing.

  24. If your gas tank is leaking like this one is, take it to the dealer and they will fix it for FREE!! Their is a recall for this problem!

  25. what is the exact name for that adapter pipe? @Ryan67 Ryan

  26. Like Ryan67 mine needed the 1-1/4. I have a 2004 ext trailblazer

  27. I did a quick check of the epoxy this morning and it feels like granite.  I'll fill with gas tonight for the true test.  If I could add one additional tip.  I screwed the dry-fit adapter all the way in and marked the bottom with a sharpie marker.  I used that mark to ensure that the check valve was pointed down after final install.  Cheers….hoping to get a couple more years out of this fix.. Love my Trailblazer.

  28. I have a 2003 Trailblazer as well and did exactly as you stated… yanked that sucker right out of there… One point though… that adapter, at least for the Trailblazer, is a 1-1/4" adapter.  There's no way you'll get the fill hose over a 1-1/2" adapter.

  29. great vid..smart idea..I have a 2003 trailblazer thinking about doing this..did you just pull the icv off the tank and theirs a perfect hole for the new adapter with no modification or extra mold or seal still on the tank? thanks

  30. Great video!! Fuel leaks can usually cause the check engine light to come on. Did this envoy have the check engine light on at the time? If it did, did this repair get rid of the check engine light? Again great vid thx!
