How to repair a malfunctioning Moen Positemp shower/tub valve. One of the most popular shower valves installed today.
This is a slightly longer version which includes thoughts on doing it yourself or hiring a plumber for this job.

This particular valve did not let any hot water flow. The problem could have been one of many others, limited cold water flow, dripping, or others.

  3. excellent video definitely gives me the confidence to do this project . mine is a moen also but w regular knob handle so a Philips screwdriver should remove knob no Allen key . il see next week .. awesome video

  14. One question. Towards the end when you say if the water is not cold when you turn it on, to take the brass stem and turn 180°. It was OFF. You rotated 180° and it still stayed OFF. How was this possible? The main water lines were still ON yet no water came out when you rotated 180°. How? When I say OFF I mean no water is coming out of the faucet.
